Easy DIY Ratcatcher 2 Costume Guide
Ratcatcher 2, whose real name is Cleo Cazo, played by the talented Daniela Melchior, made her cinematic debut in the 2021 film “The Suicide Squad” and is widely beloved for her “unique” charms. Cleo can easily control rodents and train them to do anything she needs. She is made part of Task Force X and uses these abilities toward her goals, ultimately playing a significant role within the group, Starro’s defeat.
To dress like Ratcatcher 2, wear a long trench coat, black jeans, and boots. Wear a pouch belt with a holster and black fingerless motorcycle gloves. Finally, it wouldn’t be complete without a gas mask.
About Ratcatcher 2 From The Suicide Squad
Cleo inherits the mantle of Ratcatcher from Otis Flanagan. He gave her a lot of love and taught her that rats, the most helpless creatures in the world, had a purpose, too. So she learned to use his gadgets to control rats; she got the animals to bring her things they stole and protect them on cold winter nights. However, Ratcatcher soon died of a drug overdose, leaving Cleo to live on the streets alongside rats until she reached adulthood.
Following her imprisonment in Belle Reve, Cleo joins a team sent to Corto Maltese to destroy Jotunheim, an old Nazi facility, and eliminate traces of Project Starfish. During their mission, she avoids an attack by King Shark and befriends him, much to the chagrin of her teammates. The Suicide Squad team then rescues Rick Flag and collaborates with the resistance led by Sol Soria.
As they pursue their mission, Ratcatcher 2 deeply connects with Bloodsport and protects each other. The team captures the Thinker, infiltrates Jotunheim, and discovers the U.S. government’s involvement in Starro’s experiments. Facing the unleashed Starro, Cleo escapes danger and witnesses the tragic deaths of both Flag and Peacemaker.
I have serious praise for the emotional depth of her backstory, particularly her bond with rats and her father. Her friendship with Bloodsport is also heart-warming, adding a layer of warmth to the harsh team dynamics. Her role in the climactic battle showcased her strength and resourcefulness, which is insane.
