DIY Mr. and Mrs. Smith Costume Guide

Jane Smith’s costume is a typical black dress. But since she is an assassin, she hides a gun beneath her dress slit.

To get Jane’s costume, you need to have a black maxi dress with a high side slit, black pumps, and long brown wavy hair, just like Angeline Jolie. 

Don’t forget the black garter to keep your Glock 19 airsoft gun.

John’s costume is a typical coat and tie outfit that compliments Jane’s black maxi dress. You just need to wear a black slim-fit suit partnered with black oxford shoes. And, of course, don’t forget the handgun.

Another version of the couple’s costume is when they are dressed in white shirts and underwear. This is the daring version of Mr & Mrs. Smith costume.

As Jane, you only need to have oversized button-down white long sleeves and red rain boots.

For John, you will only wear a white shirt, white boxers, and ankle brown boots.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith Cosplay Costume

Mr & Mrs. Smith’s costume became popular at costume parties after the movie was released in 2005.

Both versions of the costumes can easily be found in your closets.

The black version is from their tango dance scene, while the underdressed white costume is from a scene at their home.

If you and your partner are uncomfortable wearing the underdressed version, you can opt to wear formal clothing.
