About Lydia Deetz From Beetlejuice

Lydia is a gothic and dark teenage girl; her parents, Charles and Delia Deetz, always misunderstand her, so she becomes quiet and introverted. When Delia and her parents moved to the new home, Maitland’s home, Lydia had to adapt to this strange environment on her own.

The Maitlands tried to drive away Lydia’s family, but the Deeds turned a blind eye because they could not see ghosts. Lydia, who was interested in supernatural phenomena, discovered the ghosts of the Maitlands and made friends with them. They ask for help from the evil and rude exorcist ghost Beetlejuice, but unexpectedly leads to even more trouble and mess.

The Deeds and Maitlands fight Beetlejuice, and with Lydia’s help, they successfully drive out Beetlejuice and restore order. Ultimately, The Deeds and Maitland families also developed a close relationship and lived in harmony.

Though Lydia looks dark and mysterious, she beats evil and keeps peace. She is a psychic girl who can see and communicate with ghosts; she is smart and clever and addresses challenges in life and death!
