About Evel Knievel
Robert “Evel” Craig Knievel was a daredevil motorcyclist born in the 1930s. His rise to fame was owed to his many motorcycle stunts, including 75 ramp-to-ramp jumps. His stunts quickly earned him recognition and propelled him to stardom.
Because of his popularity and influence, Evel Knievel was also recruited to participate in anti-drug campaigns. He did work with motorcycle helmet safety as well. Throughout his career, He inspired characters in movies such as Toy Story’s Duke Kaboom. He was also made into other actual toys in real life.
Even with his death in 2007 at 69, he remains well known. The mention of his name will bring to mind the dramatically dressed daredevil on his motorcycle.
